We celebrated Halloween this year with the tradition of going to Vanzant's Fruit Farm on the Eve of Halloween and picking out the perfect pumpkins for our Barney and Brobee Jack-o-lanterns...2 of Bishop's favorite cartoon characters! Bishop's Nanny and Papaw joined us for a fun-filled day. We took Bishop trick-or-treating with some of Kevin's family from Bentonville. Needless to say, Bishop needed a little bribery to get his gorilla costume on. He's not much into dressing up. It didn't take him long to finally get the hang of going door to door for treats (although he said "sucker...sucker" instead of "trick-or-treat!") It was a sight to see how he reacted to cousin Hannah dressed as a vampire! After getting too many treats, we enjoyed a great time around the bonfire with the Gillihan crew!

Grandparents and Great Grandma
We had a wonderful time visiting my parents in Columbia, South Carolina. Bishop enjoyed playing with his Mimi and Popi. We don't get to see them as much as we'd like to, but these are memories we will keep forever! Hopefully one day soon they will live closer!
While driving back to NWA, we made a stop to visit my grandma Macie and my aunt Betty in Manila, Arkansas. My grandma will be 92 in October. She couldn't get over how big and energetic Bishop was! He did slow down long enough to get this pic...one that I will cherish for years to come. We did get one of all 4 of us(4 generations)but it's on my mom's camera. I can't wait to see it as well!

Summer 2009
After spending the 4th with Kevin's parents in Blytheville, Bishop and I headed to South Carolina to my parents house. The giraffe pool was hit! Thanks Mimi and Popi!
After picking up Kevin at the airport, we all headed to the Zoo. Bishop enjoyed most of it, but then it was time for a much needed nap! We headed back to Mimi and Popi's to get ready for the beach!

Bishop turns 2!
We celebrated Bishop's 2nd birthday at his Nanny and Papaw's house in Blytheville. Everyone was there... minus Popi. But we left the next day to go visit him in South Carolina!

Been A While!
Ok, so it's been a while since my last blog! Here is what has been going on in the Wisdom household...
Bishop has started talking and saying more (thank goodness!) and more each day. With me being a teacher, I was beginning to worry a bit! Some of Bishop's favorites include being outside at ALL times, swinging and climbing on his new play fort (thanks aunt Niki, uncle Randy, and cousin Garrett), climbing up the ladder (he can do this on his own which is scary, but of course I'm right there behind him just in case he falls back or decides to come back down), blowing bubbles, jumping off of anything and everything, and of course watching anything on the gameshow network. He used to love bathtime, but this slows him down a bit so he rarely wants to get into the tub...and then he rarely wants to get out when it's time (go figure!) He absolutely loves tea and when I give him anything but, he throws his cup down and yells tea, tea! Thankfully he loves to brush his teeth! lol! He loves looking at books and "reading" them all by himself, but he cannot sit through a book while Kev or myself reads to him...he's just too busy right now! He never stops until it's naptime or bedtime! Bishop keeps us busy and we absolutely wouldn't have it any other way! We love you little man! You're growing up way too fast!
We have had swim lessons this week at Swim Ranch. Last year, Bishop loved going. He would kick his feet, blow bubbles, float on his back (calmly) etc. This year is a diferent story...he still loves going, but he won't kick his feet or float on his back. I think it's because that's what I want him to do (all mother's know what I'm talking about...it seems as though when you want your child to do something that you know they can do and have been doing....they suddenly have a lapse of memory and act as if they have no clue as to what you're trying to get them to do!) Oh well! Bishop has learned to climb out of the pool all by himself which is a great comfort to know if he ever needed to do this on his own that he can! He loves counting 1, 2, 3 before jumping in and of course at the end of the session is toy time! Every day Bishop says "red ball" so that's what we play with. He loves playing throw and catch with his good friends Morgan and Cole. We hope to have a playdate with them through the summer. Morgan's mom, Nicole, is moving up to first grade with me next school year! And Cole's mom, Shannon, teaches 3rd grade at Folsom too. We are sad that today is our last day at Swim Ranch, but look forward to going back next year!
